Initial assessment

Preliminary investigative assessment for digital asset loss

A structured intake that helps us evaluate available evidence, understand what happened, and identify possible investigative pathways—without promising recovery outcomes.

What the assessment examines

The initial assessment reviews the type of incident, approximate timing and amounts, platforms involved, and what evidence you can already provide.

It is designed to scope whether blockchain tracing, OSINT, and digital evidence work can meaningfully proceed—not to guarantee results.

Information that helps

Useful inputs (when available):

  • Incident type and approximate dates
  • Transaction hashes and wallet addresses you used
  • Exchange or wallet platform names
  • Screenshots, chat exports, and emails
  • Whether funds appear to have moved to another address or service
  • Whether you still have access to relevant accounts (not credentials)

What NOT to provide

NEVER provide a seed phrase, recovery phrase, private key, account password, or MFA/OTP code. GetFundRecovery will never request these credentials through this assessment. Sharing them can expose remaining assets to further theft.

How the assessment works

  1. 01

    Guided questionnaire

Answer clear steps about the incident, evidence, and contact details—mobile-friendly and confidential.

  2. 02

    Secure submission

Your responses are validated and assigned a Case ID for reference. Persistence and notifications are completed as systems come online.

  3. 03

    Human review

Qualified cases are reviewed to determine investigative options and whether further information is needed.

Confidentiality and limits

Assessment information is handled with discretion. Investigation outcomes depend on evidence quality, timing, jurisdiction, and third-party cooperation.

An assessment is not legal advice and does not create a guarantee of recovery or of any particular investigative finding.

Assessment FAQ

Is this a free recovery service?

No. This is an initial case assessment to evaluate available evidence and possible investigative pathways—not a free or guaranteed recovery offer.

Will you ask for my seed phrase?

Never. Legitimate intake does not require seed phrases, private keys, passwords, or authentication codes.

What happens after I submit?

You receive a Case ID to keep. Your information is reviewed; we may request additional non-credential evidence if appropriate.
